Hiya guys!

I have run into a bit of a problem here, my PC won't boot into windows it just stops the bootsection at post code 75. I know that this is "HDD detection", but I simply can't get any further than this, it just shows the code while the HDD LED glows constantly  I can't get into BIOS either because the boot section can't go any further, I've tried clearing CMOS, turning power on and off, but nothing really seems to help.

I have had the same problem a few days ago, but it passed and I didn't think of it further than that.

I think that it might be a HDD problem, but I'm really worried about it being a problem with the MB :(

Anyone got a suggestion? I've e-mailed EVGA, but might aswell get some inputs until I get an answer..

Thanks!

That works! Now I can get into BIOS, but then what? Conclude that it's the HDD?

Alright....... I went into BIOS plugged in the HDD again pressed "Load Defaults" -> "Save and Exit" and now it works... WTF?!

Well, thanks ballz0r! you're the man :D

I still would like to know what the problem was though :comp1:

Loose sata cable? or failing HDD

Hmm, I tried pushing on the SATA cables and now it boots... Maybe that was the problem :p weird if they could "unplug" themselves like that.. I'll let it have a go and see if it still works after a day or two or three... thanks scraps! :D

If it continues try different SATA cables too. Sometimes they will go bad. I would backup all data just in case it actually is your HDs.

back in the day i had a "heat creep" condition on some of my mobo cables. cables moving themselves out form there intended device due to repeated heating and cooling of plastic and metals. i usually give all my cables a push into there spots on the weekly dusting of my case
