Dude... this is sweet....

Ahaha, well like I said... it didn't last to long. It fried the mobo about a month or so later.
But.... it would be sooooo sick if someone did a "professional" cardboard box case... Hmmmmmm. :D

You gotta fan on that RAD or is it just passive ??

Kayin, I'm talking about the Mithril build ;)
Kayin

You're calling that ghetto?
Those type builds are normally referred to as scratch builds. Anything that has at present time 3 grand in just wood can't be considered ghetto.

Ahah, our definition might differ. I consider it ghetto when it's self-made out of common materials :p

umm.... Ghetto usually means trashy, cheap, dirty... atleast in the south it does. I wouldn't call Mithril ghetto, but unique.

It was totally passive during that testing / bench session and the whole time on my Resurrected Sonata II build. Nowadays I'm using 250mm fan on it, and it's cleaned and painted too so I wouldn't call it ghetto anymore.

This is the only Ghetto thing I have a pic of. My temporary pump/reservoir is a sealed lawn mower engine and and old aquarium pump.

better to lay the rad upright(turn 90 degrees) with the heated coolant going in top of rad
for i see you only got 2/3 filled of capacity.

Baked clown vomit? I think I need a link. It sounds right up my alley.
@KaptCrunch - If I turn it over I'd need a stand.
I'm curious about those hose connectors too, and what type of radiator that is.

For those of you not in the know Cheaps.
He is the master of so-called "ghetto mods".
His ingenuity is top notch... for an example of this ingenuity read the below:
When a hurricane rolled into town and knocked out his power - along with everything else- he didn't loose his zeal. He had already promised a Bit-Tech modder a set of custom acrylic waterblocks for a JetWay C7 motherboard and damned if he was going to be delayed by a small thing like a house-throwing hurricane.
Cheaps actually went out into the garage (despite the flying houses) - armed with a flashlight between his teeth to free his nimble hands - and started milling out a waterblock by turning his drill press BY HAND!!!
The kicker is that the son of a bitch still managed to produce these:

I agree -NOT ghetto! The backstory gets taller every time too. I worked after the hurricane with no power. I slept through the hurricane, Langer!
Rubber band cheesecake.:D I've used aquarium hose in a similar fashion.
And how the hell did you get better pics than I took?
