I have a eVGA 780i FTW board and I'm looking for some new RAM for it. Right now I've got 4 G Corsair Dominator. Problem is it's a 4 X 1G kit. I've found it to be a little unstable when running Prime95's heavy RAM test. I want to start getting into tweaking my RAM and I'm looking for some nice RAM that I can fuck with. Any suggestions.

you already have one of the best kits on the market Dominators vers 1.1 were the best

populating all 4 dimm slots will require alittle more vNB

my corsairs will do 1240MHz

GSKILL Mushkin and CellShock all make stellar ram, I have many kits

^^+1

Ive had little issues with G. Skill and Corsair. Im running Corsair 1066 in my gaming rig fine, and so far all the workstations I've done (up to 9 now) have used G. Skill Pi Black 800 with none of them being DOA. Total of 18 sticks (36Gigs)

Mushkin and Cellshock are good as well (hard to find Cellshock for me though...)

So you guys are saying I need to get into BIOS and bump voltages on my RAM, since I've populated all 4 DIMMs. If so what settings am I looking for?

i've had corsairs, patriots, crucials, buffalo and axeram.

the corsair dominators, crucials tracers, buffalo firestix and axeram i had/have are/were D9. only the patriots died on me. well, honestly the crucials died once, but i trew them in the freezer for one night and they are still rocking on my PC 24/7 1000 CL4 with 2.05V :coke:

all of them make great kits. i like especially mushkin, cellshock, buffalo and gskill.

Y'know, I have OCZ's DDR2 1150 kit, they're a heck of a lot cheaper than the Dominators, and it can bench at 1330. Currently running at 1200 Cas 5 tho'. Didn't like the voltage needed to get to 13xx.

If you can still find the 2x2GB kit, I recommend it. I hear the 4GB kit goes higher than the 2GB kit (the one I have).
