Breaking the top 100

As of this morning, our current ranking is 104. We are only days away from breaking in to the top 100. This, my friends, is a huge feat as we have accomplished this with a team that is only comprised of 59 members. That is fucking amazing!

Now that we have the top 100 position in range, it's time for some new goals. I want to challenge each and every one of you to help push this team into the top 50 by December. In order to reach this goal, we will have to really buckle down and put the pedal to the metal. We need as much support as we can possibly get, no member and no contribution is too small. This is a team, and every single bit of contribution adds up quickly.

So it's time, get your cruncher's back on line! Get your friends computers crunching for you! Get your family's computers crunching for you! Fuck, if it'll compute, load BOINC on it!! :crack:

If we could get member participation up, and have at least 94% of users returning work, our numbers would skyrocket.

I think my old fridge in my old apartment used a lot more power than my 4 computers. I got tired of it sucking dick and the freezer freezing up and running constantly so I just unplugged it for a couple months and my electric bill dropped 30 bucks a month. it sucked not having a fridge, but I got used to it.

Now that I have just moved I have new appliances so it's all good. I just keep the AC on 78-80 to save cash as well.

Where in Fl you moving? Here in Miami rent is pretty high. But that is compared to Ohio where I used to live. The prices have gone down the past year though and there are good deals to be had if you look around.

I just wish I wasn't so poor and spent all my money on school as it would be great to buy a place now that the housing market is down. By the time I get a down payment ready the prices will have gone back up most likely.

Hehe, we're talking about the overall team rank, not your individual rank. Your individual rank goes up quicker than you might think. I got serious about crunching in December, before that I only crunched maybe once a week, if that. So you might as well say I started out in December, and now look at my current ranking - 668.

The more machines you add, the quicker it goes. Leaving your rigs up 24/7 helps a lot also.
